The concept of Open Systems has introduced new levels of operational efficiency, flexibility and cost effectiveness to Building Controls Systems. With this open architecture, users can install integrated, easily modified systems using innovative combinations of components -- including components from competing providers. And they provide practical solutions for remote operations as well as multi-system control from single workstations.

Automated Logic's WebCTRL® is a premier building automation system, built using Open Systems architecture and offering an intuitive, user-friendly interface with many power control features. WebCTRL can be accessed from anywhere in the world through a standard web browser, without the need for special software on the workstation. Through the browser you can access all building management function including:

  • set and change schedules and setpoints
  • graphically trend important building conditions
  • view/acknowledge alarms/events

With WebCTRL, end users can access their building control systems from any type of web-enabled device, such as a standard PC, cell phone, or personal digital assistant (PDA), and have the same functionality without any special software or plug-ins required.

Automated Logic products are 100% Native BACnet; the ASHRAE developed standard protocol.  In addition to BACnet, WebCTRL also supports LonWorks, MODBUS, SNMP, and other legacy products.  WebCTRL's design is based on Java 2, and has been designed to run on many Java supported operating systems, including Windows®, Linux, and Solaris®.

The open system approach is now paying benefits like never before. After all, it’s the only approach capable of taking full advantage of the web. And it’s the reason why Automated Logic's newest building control system, WebCTRL®, offers end-to-end freedom you just won’t find anywhere else.

CtrlSpecBuilder is a free online productivity tool for preparing bid specifications for HVAC Control Systems. The specification format is based on ASHRAE Guideline 13-2000, Specifying Direct Digital Control Systems. CtrlSpecBuilder can prepare BACnet specifications or specs that allow other protocols.

CtrSpecBuilder creates an open, non-proprietary specification that includes

  • Project requirements
  • Points lists
  • Sequences of operations
  • Control Schematics
  • Options for:
      BACnet
      Web interface
      Energy optimization

You will be able to view the documentation online, or download it to your PC in Microsoft® Word format.
